Return & Exchange Policy (Non-Custom Products Only)

This policy applies to non-custom products including Halo Kits, DRL Boards, Underglow Kits, Wheel Rings, Accent Lighting, Controllers, and similar accessories.

Custom-built headlights and tail lights are final sale and covered separately under our Limited Warranty Policy.


30-Day Return Window

Eligible products may be returned within 30 days of confirmed delivery date with an approved Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).

Return eligibility is determined based on carrier-confirmed delivery tracking.

Returns requested after 30 days from delivery are not eligible.


RMA Approval Required

All returns and exchanges require prior approval.

To request a return or exchange, you must:

  • Submit the return request form

  • Provide proof of purchase

  • Provide clear photos of the item

  • Receive an approved RMA number before shipping

Returns sent without an approved RMA will not be processed and may be refused.

If approved, a prepaid return label will be provided.

Approved returns must be shipped within 10 days of the RMA being issued. Returns shipped after this timeframe may be refused or denied.


Condition Requirements

To qualify for return or exchange, the product must be:

  • Unused

  • Uninstalled

  • In like-new condition

  • Returned with original packaging

  • Returned with all included components and hardware

Products showing any of the following may be denied:

  • Signs of installation

  • Mounting marks or hardware impressions

  • Wiring modifications or splicing

  • Adhesive residue

  • Scratches or cosmetic damage

  • Missing packaging or components

If a return is denied due to condition, the item may be shipped back to the customer at the customer’s expense.


Refunds (Returns for Refund)

All approved non-custom returns for refund are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

This fee covers inspection, processing, repackaging, and inventory handling.

Original outbound shipping charges are non-refundable.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method after inspection and approval.


Exchanges

We offer free exchanges within 30 days for eligible non-custom products.

Exchanges:

  • Follow the same 30-day window and condition requirements

  • Require RMA approval

  • Require inspection before the replacement item ships

There is no restocking fee for approved exchanges.

If exchanging for a different product:

  • Price differences must be paid prior to shipment

  • Additional shipping charges may apply in certain cases

Exchanges are limited to one per order.

Approved Exchanges must be shipped within 10 days of the RMA being issued. Exchanges shipped after this timeframe may be refused or denied.


Custom-Built Products (Final Sale)

All custom-built multicolor headlights and tail lights are final sale.

Because these products are built to order:

  • Returns are not accepted

  • Exchanges are not accepted

  • Cancellations are not permitted once production has begun

Custom products remain covered under the 1-Year Limited Warranty for verified manufacturing defects only.

Warranty coverage does not convert custom products into returnable items.


Relationship to Warranty Coverage

The 30-Day Return Policy applies only to unused, uninstalled, non-custom products.

After 30 days from delivery, products are covered only under the applicable Limited Warranty for manufacturing defects.

Warranty coverage:

  • Does not include refunds beyond the 30-day return window

  • Does not cover improper installation, wiring errors, modification, misuse, or labor costs

  • Applies only to the original purchaser with proof of purchase

Inspection & Refund Processing

All returned products are inspected upon arrival.

If approved:

Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days after inspection and issued to the original payment method.

We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not meet the conditions outlined above.

Excessive returns or policy abuse may result in refusal of future service.

Return Authorization (RMA)

Return labels are not automatically provided. Customers may use their preferred trackable shipping method unless otherwise specified.

We recommend using insured, trackable shipping, as RGB Halo Kits is not responsible for returns lost in transit.

After We Receive Your Return

  • The item will be inspected to confirm it meets return eligibility.
  • Approved returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Do I Have to Pay Shipping Label Costs on Returns?

If your return request is approved, RGB Halo Kits will provide a prepaid return label along with your RMA instructions.

Return shipping costs are not charged separately; however:

  • Approved returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
  • Original outbound shipping charges are non-refundable.

Please note:

Defective Product Policy

At RGB Halo Kits, we stand behind the quality of our products. Verified manufacturing defects are covered under our Limited Warranty.

Defects are not handled under our Return Policy unless the product remains unused and uninstalled.

Before Installation

Customers are strongly encouraged to inspect all products prior to installation.

If a verified manufacturing defect is discovered before installation and the product remains:

  • Unused
  • Uninstalled
  • In like-new condition

The customer may choose one of the following (with approved RMA):

  • Replacement
  • Warranty exchange
  • Return under our 30-Day Return Policy (non-custom items only; subject to 20% restocking fee)

Custom-built products are final sale and are not eligible for return, even if unused, but remain covered under warranty for verified defects.

After Installation

Once a product has been installed or shows signs of use (including but not limited to scratches, mounting marks, wiring modifications, adhesive use, or cosmetic wear), it is no longer eligible for refund.

If a verified manufacturing defect is present after installation:

  • The issue will be handled under our Limited Warranty.
  • Photos and/or video documentation will be required.
  • Repair or component replacement is the primary remedy.

For custom-built headlights and tail lights:

  • Internal defects may require return for inspection and repair.
  • For approved U.S. warranty claims involving headlights, RGB Halo Kits covers shipping both ways.
  • Within the Initial Install Protection Window (first 10 days), Rapid Replacement may be available at our discretion.

If Repair or Replacement Is Not Possible

If a repair or direct replacement is not feasible due to inventory or product status, we may:

  • Provide a comparable product
  • Offer store credit
  • Offer an alternative resolution at our discretion

All defect claims are subject to verification and approval under our Limited Warranty Policy.

Are custom-built headlights returnable?

No.

Custom-built products, including prebuilt multicolor headlights and tail lights, are final sale.

Because these products are built to order specifically for each customer:

  • Returns are not accepted
  • Exchanges are not accepted
  • Cancellations are not permitted once production has begun

However, custom-built products remain covered under our 1-Year Limited Warranty for verified manufacturing defects.

Warranty coverage does not convert custom-built products into returnable items.

Can I return an item after it has been installed?

No.

Items that have been installed, mounted, wired, modified, or show signs of use are not eligible for return or refund.

Examples of disqualifying condition include:

  • Mounting marks or hardware impressions
  • Wiring modifications or splicing
  • Adhesive residue
  • Scratches or cosmetic wear
  • Missing original packaging or components

If a verified manufacturing defect is discovered after installation, the issue will be handled under our Limited Warranty Policy, not the Return Policy.

For custom-built headlights, approved U.S. warranty repairs include shipping coverage both ways.

What happens if tracking shows delivered but I did not receive my package?

If carrier tracking confirms delivery to the address provided at checkout, the order is considered delivered.

Before contacting us, please:

  • Check around your property (porch, garage, side doors, etc.)
  • Check with neighbors or building management
  • Confirm the shipping address on your order confirmation

If the package still cannot be located, contact us and we will assist in opening a carrier investigation.

If the carrier confirms the package was delivered correctly, a refund or replacement may not be available.

If the carrier determines the package was lost or misdelivered, we will work with you on the appropriate resolution.

How Can I Track My Return?

2. Track Your Package

Use the tracking number provided (either from your carrier receipt or the label we provide) to monitor the shipment through the carrier’s website (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.).

We recommend using a trackable and insured shipping method, as RGB Halo Kits is not responsible for returns lost in transit.

3. Return Processing & Inspection

Returns are processed twice per week.

Once your return is received:

  • The item will be inspected for condition and completeness.
  • It must meet our 30-Day Return Policy requirements (unused, uninstalled, like-new condition, original packaging included).
  • Approved returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

You will be notified once inspection is complete and your refund has been issued or if additional information is required.

Installation & Labor Costs

RGB Halo Kits does not reimburse:

Prior Warranty Claims

Orders in which warranty replacement parts have already been issued may not be eligible for return or exchange.
