Some RGB Halo Kits lights can share a controller, while others need their own. Matching the color style is only the first check: voltage, connectors, required drivers and controller capacity also need to match.
One controller vs. app synchronization
Sharing one physical controller means plugging compatible products into the same unit. App synchronization means controlling compatible separate controllers together. App grouping does not make electrically incompatible products safe to connect to one controller.
Compatibility at a glance
| Product group | Planning guidance |
|---|---|
| Compatible 5V Flow products with M8 connections | May share a matching Flow controller within its output and power limits. |
| 12V Flow underglow, wheel rings and 16-foot rolls | Use their specified separate controllers. |
| Flow fiber optic kits with M6 connections | Use their dedicated controller. |
| Compatible RGBW products | May share the specified RGBW controller; retain all required LED drivers. |
| RGBW underglow and RGBW fiber optic kits | Use their dedicated connector/controller setup. |
| Starlight headliner kits | Use the starlight controller and app specified for the kit. |
Use the exact product and controller instructions to confirm your configuration. Product revisions can differ, particularly interior lighting kits, so identify the part number and connector rather than relying on the category name alone.
Five checks before combining products
- LED system: Flow Series and RGBW use different control systems.
- Voltage: Confirm the required voltage at the LED output, not just the controller’s vehicle-power input.
- Connector: Match the specified connector and pin arrangement. Physical fit alone is not enough.
- Drivers: Keep the supplied drivers, regulators and power modules connected as instructed.
- Capacity: Check the controller’s power limits and available outputs for the whole combination.
Can I use a splitter?
A compatible splitter adds connection points; it does not increase the controller’s power capacity or convert the signal. Confirm the combined load before adding products.
Can I mix RGBW and Flow Series?
Do not plug RGBW lights into a Flow output or Flow lights into an RGBW output. Use each product’s compatible controller. Confirm app grouping separately for the controller versions you own.
Confirm your build before ordering
Send support the product links or part numbers, quantities, controller labels and photos of the connectors. Include any existing lights you want to keep. This lets the team check the complete setup.
