Lighting Guides: Start Here

If your RGB/RGBW lights do not turn on, show the wrong colors or stop responding, start with the complete wiring path. A symptom can come from the power supply, a connection, controller settings or the light itself; it does not identify a failed part on its own.

Start with these checks

  1. Confirm the exact product and controller. Match the labels and included guide to the kit you are testing.
  2. Check main power and ground. Verify the supply at the controller using the model-specific procedure. Keep the specified inline fuse in place; replace a fuse only with the specified type and rating after addressing the cause.
  3. Inspect connectors with power off. Check seating, orientation and visible wire damage. Do not force mismatched plugs.
  4. Keep required drivers and regulators connected. Never bypass a supplied driver or connect bare LEDs directly to vehicle power.
  5. Check the selected mode. Confirm brightness, on/off state and any automatic/manual switch setting.

Choose the next step by symptom

Symptom What to check next
Nothing illuminates Main power, ground, fuse and the complete connection path.
Remote works; app does not connect Correct app, Bluetooth permissions and connection inside the app.
Only one light has a problem That light’s connections and its specified driver or output.
All lights show the same wrong color Controller setup, LED type and the shared wiring path.
Works manually but not automatically Controller mode and the model-specific trigger input.
Flickering or dim output Supply, ground, connection quality and approved controller load.

Bluetooth connection problems

Use the app named for the controller. Enable Bluetooth and the required phone permissions, stand nearby and connect inside the app as instructed. Fully close and reopen the app before retrying. Power-cycle the controller using its instructions if needed. A specific pairing window or app setting from another controller may not apply.

Follow the Bluetooth troubleshooting guide for the complete process.

Isolating one component

If the product instructions call for swapping outputs or drivers, turn off power first and swap only identical, confirmed-compatible components. Change one connection at a time and record whether the problem follows the light, driver or output. Do not mix RGBW and Flow parts or use a different-voltage output to test a light.

What to send support

Send your order number, controller and product labels, a clear photo of the full wiring path, and a short video of the symptom. List the checks completed and whether the problem affects one light or every light. Contact RGB Halo Kits support before buying replacement parts if the cause is uncertain.
